The Cairn.
Designed for two, The Cairn is a cosy Scandinavian-inspired retreat overlooking the farm and Angus countryside. Wrapped in natural timber and styled in a rich palette of mustard and navy, the cabin combines warm, characterful interiors with everything you need for an easy, slow-paced stay.
Inside, you’ll find a comfortable living space with a sofa, dining area and wood-burning stove, alongside a thoughtfully equipped kitchen with an oven, hob, fridge/ freezer, toaster, kettle, Nespresso coffee machine and cooking essentials. We’ll have a welcome basket waiting for you on arrival, filled with locally sourced produce and a few treats, alongside tea, coffee, sugar and marshmallows for cosy evenings in.
The raised king-sized bed is designed for switching off, with robes and fresh towels provided for your stay. White linen cotton, layered bedding and carefully chosen details add a little luxury without losing the cabin’s relaxed, understated feel. The bathroom takes on a darker, moodier feel, with black finishes, marble details and a rainfall walk-in shower, alongside premium Laura Thomas Co body wash and hand lotion.
Step outside and make the most of the wide-open countryside. The cabin has its own covered deck, creating a sheltered spot to sit back with a morning coffee, a glass of wine or simply watch the landscape change throughout the day. Settle into the loungers and take in the views across the farmland and rolling Angus hills.
From the deck, steps lead down to your own gravel fire pit area, complete with rustic log seating. Light the fire as the evening draws in, wrap up under a blanket and enjoy long, slow evenings beneath the open sky.
Designed to feel like an extension of the cabin, the outdoor space is simple, peaceful and completely connected to its rural surroundings.
Outside is where the Newmill experience really comes to life. Guests have access to our shared wellness area, complete with a sauna, hot tub, cold plunge and bucket shower, as well as a log fire - perfect for long evenings looking out across the fields.
Card games and other little extras are included for slower nights in, and dogs are welcome too. Although you’ll feel tucked away in the countryside, local shops, villages and places to explore are only a short drive away.
The Kin.
Designed for two, The Kin shares the same Scandinavian-inspired design and thoughtful details as The Cairn, with its own playful interior palette of soft green and pink bringing a different character to the space.
Set against views of the farm and surrounding fields, the cabin has been created for relaxed countryside living. Inside, there’s a cosy sofa and dining area, a wood-burning stove for slower evenings and a kitchen equipped with an oven, hob, fridge/ freezer, toaster, kettle, Nespresso coffee machine and everything you need to cook during your stay.
On arrival, you’ll find a welcome basket of locally sourced produce and treats, with tea, coffee, sugar and marshmallows also provided. Robes and fresh towels are ready for you, alongside card games and little touches designed to make staying in feel just as good as heading out.

Our shared wellness area has been created as a peaceful retreat in the heart of our farm, surrounded by open fields and uninterrupted views across the Angus countryside.
Sink into the hot tub, warm up in the sauna, refresh under the cold plunge and bucket shower, then settle beside the outdoor fire and simply enjoy the view.
Natural stone, timber and soft planting allow the space to sit beautifully within its rural surroundings. Wrap yourself in a robe, take your time and enjoy a slower pace.
Whether its an early morning sauna, an afternoon soak or an evening by the fire as the light fades over the fields, the wellness area is designed for one thing - switching off from everyday life.
